Kiko Goats For Sale
Salmon Creek Ranch has 100% purebred AKGA* registered Kiko Goats with bloodlines going back to the original imports from New Zealand through Goats Unlimited stock. Our goats are free to roam on over 400 acres of natural forage (certified organic) and we track EPD** data on all goats produced in order to align our breeding program as closely as possible to the original goals of the Kiko. That means, a goat that is an easy kidder, a good mother with plenty of milk, parasite resistant and relatively trouble free.  Our does kid unassisted in the pasture and kids are raised without supplements. Our closed herd is CL & CAE tested clear. We breed for meat production and occasionally, have stock for sale, either with AKGA registration or commercial grade (without papers). And, while it has nothing to do with the quality of the meat, we do like color in our Kikos, as you can see from our current herd sire, pictured on the right. Pedigrees and further details upon request. Delivery negotiable.

Even our first-time Kiko moms keep in good weight with no suplementation. This yearling doe has been nursing fast growing twins.

2010 Kids for Sale
In mid January, during the worst storms northern California has experienced for years, amid torrential rains, wind and power outages, we had 32 kids born in the pasture. No barn and very little shelter. Another 16 arrived shortly thereafter. At 2 months old, they, along with their moms, joined the main herd to freely roam our 400 acres and are thriving. We have some very meaty, strikingly colored,
full-blood AKGA registerable bucklings sired by the very colorful Apache in this lot and some of the best are for sale. We are also offering a couple of doelings as well.

Consider this  fast growing all-white buck for putting meat on your herd. Not the most glamorous in the bunch, but a meaty, nice-natured guy who can do what Kikos do best.

We call him the "Miracle Baby". When first born, this buck survived for 12 hours in a predator-filled  forest all alone when his yearling mom came home without him at 2 am. We did not find him until the next afternoon, snug in a nest of pine needles yelling his indignation. Reunited with his mom, he has flourished with absolutely no intervention and is a very chunky guy at only 5 months old.
